In my opinion anyway and it might no be classed as secret  but you'd be doing well to find it.

This is a natural spring bubbling away pumping clear fresh water from the bowels of the earth onto the surface. I came across this today out a walk with my son and the dug.

Please excuse Hamish - he got curious

Interesting

I hope it is a spring, and not found near Croy, as the "high level nuclear waste" decays down there, heats up, creates steam pressure and forces natural run off and trapped moisture to the surface

I hope Hamish's nose is not glowing tonight... like a certain reindeer's

More seriously, nice to see someone can do something useful with online video.

I've just looked over me shoother and Hamish's nose is till a pinkish shade so he might be alright for another 300 years.
Was a fabulous day for a walk, done a lot of sniffing around the Croy pit, aligned the physical remnants up with the 1919 map (to an extent, not easy with the passing of 90 years)  - Lance corporal Brittles helped a lot - and the photo posted before is definitely not a shaft of any kind, the torch revealed a wall. It was probably a detonator store or something but it is within about 15m of where the shafts were.

One thing for sure it was a productive pit, the massive bings of blue blaes are proof of that.
